Holy Trinity Sunday is the hardest Sunday of the Church year to preach. How does one scratch the surface of the Trinity and do so carefully as to not put oneself in heresy? We declare the oneness of God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The beauty of this weekend is to realize that God always was, always is, and always will be. He is always one and has always been three persons.
In the reading from Proverbs, we hear about how He was always there and His delight day by day. We hear in the Gospel about the Spirit and the oneness of God. All of these readings point to the fact that God-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit-has always been, and always will be. One God in three persons.
This Sunday, the thing to remember is the loving God that desires a relationship with you and desires you to be in His presence forever.
Lastly, please sign up to volunteer for the parish picnic! Many hands make light work. We want it to be a successful event! Come out and invite all you know to come to the party! It is a great event and a lot of fun. This is hugely important for the well-being of our school. Pray for good weather! Volunteer! And I hope to see you there.
